PROven Experience Seeking Youthful Vision…
PROVentures offers both internship and externship programs during the school year and summer. The goal of both programs is to expose motivated students and recent graduates to the sports marketing industry, gaining “real world” client experience and networking opportunities.
PROven Internship
The internship program introduces students to multiple facets of sports and entertainment marketing. The PROven Experience is a full-time, fully involved, learning by doing internship program. PROVentures is seeking self-motivated, entrepreneurial applicants who will bring new and creative ideas to the table. Interns will assist in a wide range of projects and activities. It is strongly suggested that students receive academic credit in exchange for the unpaid internship.
Internship Terms: Application Window:
Summer: June – August March 1 – April 1
Fall: September – December June 1 – July 1
Spring: January – May October 1 – November 1
PROven Externship
Externship opportunities are available throughout the year, but terms and availability vary. Externships are project based. Depending upon availability, students who are interested and willing to devote time to a specific program will gain valuable experience in the business. Externs should be able to see their project to completion. Employment opportunities may arise through property generation, but are not guaranteed.
It is extremely important that externs have good people and networking skills. They must be self-starters and entrepreneurial. Externs work outside the McLean office and hours are flexible, but in that lies the responsibility to self-motivate. Progress meetings are scheduled periodically with PROVentures Management to provide direction and oversight. PROVentures encourages externs to take an idea and run with it– develop a project and own it.
Externship Terms: flexible- varying from 3 weeks to 3 months

• RESUME including GPA
• ESSAY: Tell us in one page, why you want to be in the sports business and describe the characteristics you possess that will allow you to succeed in this industry.
Each application will be reviewed by the PROven Experience Selection Committee and selected candidates may be asked to schedule an onsite interview. Candidates will be responsible for their own expenses throughout the interview process and the internship/externship. Credit is a requirement.
